ASN bank
The ASN Bank sponsors the adoption project of the youth club of the Animal Protection ‘Kids for Animals’.
When a ‘ASN/Kids for animals-savings account’ is openend, a part of the interest will be given to the Foundation D.R.P. -
Kids for Animals
Kids for animals, the youth club of the Animal Protection has set up a parrots project to help the Foundation D.R.P. In order to get some publicity, Kids for Animals has even been on television.
Every two months a page with news about the D.R.P. is published in the club magazine of Kids for Animals and the kids are informed about the progress. The young readers of the magazine can even win prizes.
Naturally the Kids for Animals-members can visit the parrots for free and this on presentation of their club card. -
Special school projects
Primary school the ‘Hei-Acker’ in Veldhoven has realised a project to help the ‘Parrot-Inn’. Thanks to their project we were able to found the ‘Lorre-Acker’. In this ‘Lorre-Acker’, which consists of a stone ring without a cage around it, the parrots that can’t fly are accomodated.
The name ‘Lorre-Acker’ was made up by one of the pupils and is a combination of ‘Lorre’, a frequently occurring parrot’s name, and ‘Acker’ of the schoolname ‘Hei-Acker.
Other schools are also engaged in projects, like a sponsor walk for example, to help the parrots.
