A place in the park
After the quarantine period which lasts 8 to 10 weeks the parrot will be transferred to the park. Of course this can not take place during the period October-March because it might be too cold outside for these parrots who come from a comfortable quarantine room. During this time all parrots will be transferred to the winter pen where they will join other parrots of their species. Most of the time they immediately will look for a new partner and form a very snug and happy new couple.
As soon as the weather improves all our caretakers get very busy transferring all the parrots into the aviaries.
Parrots who seem to be able to fly will be placed in a small aviary. When after observation it becomes clear that a parrot can fly very well and is in good shape it is transferred to one of the giant aviaries where they can stretch their wings.
Parrots who can not fly well or can not fly at all will be placed in cages. After a while, when the parrot has learned how to fly it can still be transferred to an aviary.
The procedure where the parrot is taken in and the quarantine period are closed.
After the quarantine period you will be able to visit your bird again and see for yourself that the bird is happy. At first the bird will recognize you but after some time it may be possible that he will not react anymore. After all he found a new, natural partner with whom he will probably spend the rest of his life.
