Animals on the loose
Many visitors are thrilled about the many animals freely roaming around. All of us, however, have to be careful not to drop any litter. Some animals happily feed on the litter, which may have serious consequences. |
Often, there are young emus on the loose and may remain so, as long as visitors leave them at peace. Most of the time they may be found around the “Lorre-Acker”. |

Potbellied pigs have a talent for begging for treats. They are usually to be found in the centre of the park and can be very cuddly. Great for children! |
In nature, you will not be able to stroke a hind. Hinds are seldom to be found in children’s farms or petting zoos. Hinds are of an extremely shy nature and immediately hide in case of danger. |
The fallow-deer gives birth to a young every year. The baby is still rather suspicious but comes out of hiding more and more. It is endearing to see it hiding, until mama calls that all is safe. |
When you look carefully between the bushes or around the ponds, you may see kangaroos hopping about. You might even see a baby-kangaroo’s head, popping out of mamma’s belly-pouch. |
There are a lot of rabbits, many of them still tame and cuddly. |
